Who we are
Move It Right is a licensed and insured moving company operating out of Toronto, with our main
base at 205 Geary Ave, Toronto, ON M6H 2C1. We run residential and commercial moves across the
Greater Toronto Area and more than 40 Ontario cities, seven days a week from 8am to 8pm, and
long-distance moves from Ontario to British Columbia, Alberta and Nova Scotia.
We also operate from a Hamilton base at 503 Woodward Ave, which is how we cover the Golden
Horseshoe as local work rather than out-of-area jobs.
What we do
Rates start at $135 per hour for local moves, billed door to door, with no surcharges for stairs,
elevators or the number of rooms. The work splits across:
- Residential moving and
condo moving - Commercial moving, including
offices, retail,
warehouses and gyms - Long-distance and cross-Canada moves
- Senior moving and
downsizing - Student moving
- Packing and
storage
How we work
Three things shape how a Move It Right job runs, and they are the same on a one-bedroom condo
move and a warehouse relocation.
We quote on the real job, not a template
Access at both ends changes a move more than the contents do. Stairs, elevator bookings, dock
height restrictions and how close a truck can get to the door all get asked about before a number is
given, because a quote that ignores them is not a quote.
We plan around your constraints
Elevator windows, residence move-in hours, school break dates, retail closing times and
commercial downtime deadlines are fixed points. The crew is scheduled around them rather than the
other way round.
We finish the job
Furniture is reassembled and placed, not left stacked. On commercial moves that means working to
a floor plan so staff arrive to a working desk. On senior moves it means the bed is made before the
crew leaves.
Licensing, insurance and your protection
Move It Right is licensed and insured. Standard liability coverage is included on every move and
additional protection is available. Certificates of insurance naming a building are provided on
request for condo and commercial moves, which most property managers require before releasing a
service elevator or loading dock. The specifics are set out on our
