What we move in a gym relocation
Gym equipment is heavier, more awkward and more easily damaged than household furniture, and most
of it has to come apart before it can leave the room. These are the categories we handle most.
Cardio equipment
Treadmills, ellipticals, rowers, spin bikes and stair climbers. Treadmills in particular need the
console and deck handled separately, and the motor housing protected in transit. Consoles are the
most commonly damaged part of a gym move.
Racks, rigs and cable machines
Squat racks, power cages, half racks, functional trainers, cable crossovers and Smith machines.
These come apart into uprights, crossmembers, weight stacks and pulleys. We label every fastener by
assembly so it goes back together the same way it came apart.
Free weights and storage
Dumbbell sets, barbells, bumper and iron plates, kettlebells and the racks that hold them. Weight
is loaded low and distributed across the truck rather than stacked, which protects both the load and
the vehicle.
Benches, platforms and flooring
Adjustable and flat benches, deadlift platforms, rubber tiles and rolled flooring. Flooring is
usually the last thing out and the first thing in, so it is planned into the load order from the
start.
Disassembly and reassembly
Reassembly is the part that decides whether a gym move went well. Our crews photograph each
machine before disassembly, bag and label hardware per unit, and rebuild in the new space rather
than leaving parts stacked for you to work out. Tell us in advance if a manufacturer requires
certified service for a specific machine, because some warranties depend on it.
Commercial gyms and home gyms
A commercial gym move is a scheduling problem as much as a lifting one. Most facilities want the
move run overnight or across a closed weekend so members are not turned away, and we can work those
hours. A home gym move is usually a single room, but often the hardest room in the house, because
basement stairs and doorway widths decide what has to come apart.
Access, floors and weight limits
Before moving day, check the route the equipment has to travel: doorway and stairwell widths,
elevator capacity if the gym is above ground level, and whether the destination floor is rated for
the load you are putting on it. Upper-floor and basement gyms are both common and both need this
checked in advance. Send us photos of the space and the access route when you book and the crew
plans the sequence around them.
Moving a full facility rather than equipment alone? See
commercial moving, and
storage services if there is a gap between closing one
location and opening the next.

Frequently Asked Questions
You could, but gym equipment is heavier and trickier than it looks. We’d love for you to show off your gains, but one wrong lift can lead to damage or injury for you. Both in your home gym and a commercial fitness center.
Our crew uses the right tools and techniques to move everything safely and efficiently.
Yes! We handle everything from home treadmills to multi-station cable machines. Our movers are trained to properly disassemble, label, transport, and reassemble each unit, so your setup works exactly as it did before, just in a new spot.
That’s our specialty. We move everything from 400-lb treadmills to massive squat racks and leg presses. Our equipment movers come prepared with lift straps, dollies, ramps, and the muscle to handle oversized gear safely.
Every piece is padded, wrapped, and secured for transport. We treat high-end commercial machines and personal fitness gear with the same level of care, and all moves are covered by insurance for extra peace of mind.

Yes. All of our moves are fully insured to protect your property, equipment, and our crew. You can focus on your next workout while we handle the heavy lifting.
Unplug machines, remove any personal items, and clear pathways so we can get started right away. If anything needs to be disassembled, we’ll handle that part!
Yep! We keep both locations clean and tidy after our move.
