Seasons
While the peak seasons for moving in are during the summer and before (September & January), and after semesters are completed (December & April), we offer all-season student moving services across Canada. Our trusted student movers are available 7 days a week and can provide packing and moving support whenever it’s needed at regular prices (no upcharge for busy days)!
Off-campus, climate-controlled storage
During the off-season (April to August), we offer additional, climate-controlled storage services for students so that you don’t have to leave items on campus or bring them all the way home. Our secure storage services are available and accessible 7 days a week with CCTV surveillance so that your belongings are safe while you enjoy summer vacation.

When students move, and why it matters
Student moving is the most concentrated demand in the whole moving calendar. Almost everyone
moves in the same two windows, and those windows are the hardest dates of the year to get a crew.
Late August and early September
Residence move-in and the start of most off-campus leases. This is the single busiest stretch of
the student year. Book as far ahead as you can, and if the university has given you an assigned
move-in time slot, tell us the slot when you book.
Late April and early May
End of the academic year and the end of most 8-month leases. Everyone leaves at once. If you are
going home for the summer and coming back in September, this is the point to think about storage
rather than moving everything twice.
Residence moves versus off-campus
A residence move is usually a small load with hard constraints: a fixed arrival window, a shared
elevator, a long carry from the loading area, and a building full of other families doing the same
thing that hour. Turning up prepared matters more than turning up early.
An off-campus house or apartment move is a more normal job, but often with more people involved
and more furniture than a residence room. If several housemates are moving on the same day, one
combined booking is usually cheaper and faster than separate ones.
Summer storage
If you are leaving in April and returning in September, storing over the summer is almost always
easier than hauling everything home and back. Items stay inventoried and wrapped until you need

storage at the same time as the April move so there is only one handling step.

When should I book a student move?
You should book a move 6 to 8 weeks before your planned moving day. Here’s a small chart to help you decide the perfect time:

Do you charge extra for busy days?
Nope. We don’t charge extra on busy days or peak seasons. You get a transparent price based on what we believe your hourly quote will come to!
Do you offer packing services or just transportation?
Yes! Our truck and transport come with the student moving services but we do charge additional fees for packing and materials.
What does the moving team consist of?
Our lowest price option starts with 2 men and 1 truck. If you’re looking for 3 men and 1 truck, the pricing begins at $175/hour.
If you’re looking for more hands or assistance, please call us and we’ll give you a better estimate.
Can you handle small moves with just a few items?
Yes! We know student housing doesn’t allow for many large items or furniture, so we’re more than happy to move a couple of items for you with our professional student moving services.
Are there hidden fees like stair charges or fuel surcharges?
No, we don’t charge extra for stairs or fuel. All of our pricing for moving services are charged by the hour, door-to-door. If there are any additional services you want to add on to the full-service moving (like packing or storage), there will be a fee but we will never hide any pricing from you.
Do you offer student moves that comply with campus/dorm regulations?
Yep! We regularly handle student moves and are familiar with the rules most colleges and universities set for dorms and campus housing. From elevator reservations to specific move-in/move-out time slots, we’ll make sure everything is coordinated so your student’s move is a piece of cake. If your school has special requirements, just let us know in advance, and we’ll work within their guidelines!
