Frequently Asked Questions
We recommend that you schedule your move with us 6 to 8 weeks in advance. This will give us time to come up with your custom moving plan and make sure that your actual moving day is as stress-free as possible.
We only charge extra for packing or storage services. Our normal rates include 2 to 3 men and a truck, which is always charged hourly starting at $129/hour from door-to-door. We don’t charge extra for wait times, stairs, or elevator use.
Nope! All neighbourhoods across Ontario are charged the same price that is displayed on our website.
For safety reasons, there are certain items we just can’t bring along on moving day. Not sure if something is okay to load? Give us a quick call, and we’ll gladly clear it up for you. Here’s a list of what our movers aren’t able to transport:
- Gasoline, propane, or any other flammable liquids
- Fireworks or explosive materials
- Hazardous or toxic chemicals
- Perishable food items that could spoil during the move
- Large water-filled belongings like hot tubs or jacuzzis
Weather can disrupt anything from loading/unloading to safe driving. But we always have a backup plan (and a backup plan for our backup plan!). This includes things like backup trucks, adjusted schedules, extra padding for items, etc.
If you wish to reschedule, contact us at least 48 hours before your move and we can work it out together!
Absolutely! While we understand some people like to pack on their own, we also see those who really don’t want to do it on their own. That’s why we’re proud to offer additional packing services to the community in Barrie!
