It’s best to get in touch with MOVE IT RIGHT as soon as you’ve got your moving date locked in, ideally 6 to 8 weeks in advance. The earlier you book, the more likely you’ll get the date you want, and it gives us plenty of time to help plan everything properly.
Are there any items that moving companies won't transport?
Yes, there are a few things we can’t transport for safety and legal reasons. Things like flammable liquids, explosives, certain chemicals, and food that can spoil. We also don’t transport hot tubs or jacuzzis.
If you’re unsure about something, just ask! We’ll walk you through what’s allowed and help you figure out what to do with the rest.
Can I pack my belongings myself, or should I hire professional packing services in Toronto?
You can pack your things on your own if that’s what you prefer; it’s a good way to save some money. But if you’d rather not deal with the hassle, our pros can take care of it! We use high-quality materials and know how to keep your items safe. We have both cardboard and plastic boxes.
Think about how much time you have and whether packing stresses you out, then choose the option that works best for you.
Can I change the move in date if needed?
Life happens, and plans can change. If you need to move your date, just let us know at least 48 hours in advance. We’ll do our best to reschedule and make sure everything still goes smoothly.
Are MOVE IT RIGHT movers insured?
Absolutely. Both our team and our trucks are fully insured, so your belongings are covered if your moving within the GTA. Your peace of mind is important to us.
Can I leave items inside my furniture?
We recommend emptying your furniture before the move. Loose items can shift around and cause damage. If you’d rather not pack it all yourself, we offer professional packing services to make sure everything’s safe and secure.
Is there an extra charge for more than 2 floors?
Not at all. We charge by the hour, so there’s no added fee just because you’re including your basement or garage. That said, keep in mind that more stuff means more time, which may affect your final cost.
