How much time should we set aside to plan a move?
With our moving services, you won’t have to plan anything. Just let us know the date you’d like to move and we’ll help you from there! But if you want to get a head start, it’s best to start planning about 4 to 6 weeks earlier (especially if you’re moving into a smaller space or retirement home).
This gives you enough time to declutter and sort out any sentimental items before moving.
When should I start sorting, packing, and decluttering?
The earlier, the better! This will really give you enough time to cherish all the items that you think you’ll have to let go of and make a responsible decision on whether you need them or not.
Also, if you start declutting earlier, you won’t have to worry about it later on. We can help with any donations or disposals on moving day as well.
Can you help set up the new home after the move?
Absolutely! Our caring senior moving services don’t stop once the boxes are delivered. We want you to leave all the heavy lifting and reassembly of furniture to us.
We want you to feel comfortable in your home as soon as possible, so we’ll make sure your new place feels like home, not just a new space.
What happens if I want family present during the move?
We love when families are involved! In fact, it’s encouraged to have family around during this transition.
Having loved ones nearby makes moving day easier and more meaningful. You can reminisce one last time before picking up and moving to the next chapter of your life. We’re happy to work alongside them whether they’re helping sort keepsakes, cheering you on, or just keeping snacks at the ready.
