Booking a move with Move It Right

Fill in the form on this page or call +1-866-558-8564 between 8am and 8pm, seven days a week. Local moves across Toronto, the GTA and more than 40 Ontario cities start at $135 per hour for two movers and a truck, or $175 per hour for three, with a 2-hour minimum. Cross-Canada moves to Vancouver, Calgary and Halifax are quoted per job instead. Quotes are free and there is no obligation to book.

How the hourly rate works

The clock runs door to door: it starts at your first address rather than at our depot, and travel time between your two addresses counts as part of the job. That is why a move within one city costs less than the same size of move across the region. There is a 2-hour minimum, and the quote sets out what is included before you commit to anything. Bigger homes and offices are quoted per job rather than by the hour.

What is worth adding at booking

  • Packing services, full or partial, with boxes and materials.
  • Storage, if your closing dates do not line up. Adding it at booking means one load rather than two.
  • Disassembly and reassembly of beds, wardrobes and dining tables, which the crew handles as standard.
  • Specialty items such as a piano, a safe or gym equipment, which change the crew size. See furniture moving.

Changing or cancelling a booked date

You can reschedule up to 48 hours before your move date, which is the policy published across the rest of the site. If the change is inside that window, call rather than email so we can look at what is still available while you are on the phone.

When to book

Month-end dates and anything between May and September fill first, so book those as early as you can. Midweek and mid-month dates are often available at much shorter notice. If you are working to a closing date or a lease end, say so on the first call.

Booking a condo or apartment move

Tell us the building at booking. Condo boards and rental buildings almost always want the service elevator reserved, many want a certificate of insurance from the mover, and most set fixed move windows. We provide the certificate; what causes delays is finding out on the morning that it was needed. See condo moving for how those bookings work.

What we need to book your move

Have these ready and the booking takes a few minutes:

  • Both addresses, including the floor and whether there is an elevator at each
  • Your preferred moving date, and a backup date if you have one
  • A rough contents list by room, including the garage, basement and any storage
  • Whether you want packing, storage or both added
  • For condo moves, whether the service elevator has been booked and what your building requires

Call +1-866-558-8564, seven days a week from 8am to 8pm. Most
bookings are quicker by phone because the questions that affect the price get answered as they come
up.
